Christmas happiness.

I love Christmas. This year has been no exception. Spending time with my amazing family. Relaxing. Skyping with Elder Wood. The best combination of things. My favorite things.
I love my Savior. I am so grateful that He came to this Earth to live and die for me. Without His atonement there would be no eternal families, no repentance, and no returning to Heavenly Father. Three things that I will be forever grateful for.
In this Christmas season, I hope we all take the time to realize what is really important.

Isaac DeMar and I: part 3 :)

When I took this picture I said, 'smile'. He felt the need to do this instead :)

Oh how I love this boy. He is incredible. Continued: the entire week after homecoming we always were talking and we had finally admitted to each other that we really liked each other. As ridiculous as it was, the way we started dating was just a mutual decision in a conversation on September 26, 2009. We had not held hands or even kissed yet. I told him I didn't want to kiss him for awhile, and he said that he would wait. We held hands the first time on September 30, 2009. We were on our way home from a cross country meet in twin falls. I don't think I've ever been happier. We had an all-nighter at the school that night with the entire team. I remember holding hands with him almost all night. I fell asleep a few times each time holding his hand. Each time I woke up I remember him just giving me the biggest grin and telling me how beautiful I was when I slept.
The next few weeks were beyond great. Isaac kissed me on October 17, 2009. It was outside of one of his friends houses while he walked me out to my car. They were the sweetest little kisses. Ever since that moment, I've been in love with him. November 24, 2009 was the very first time we told each other "I love you". He said it first and I remember just smiling and not knowing what to say. He was trying to teach me how to drive a stick shift. I never made it out of first gear, mostly because I just gave up.
The next few months were perfect. I don't remember a single fight take place between us. In May 2010, we went to commencement together and it was the must perfect date I've ever been on. Isaac graduated a couple weeks later. I was terrified that things between us were going to change or that we wouldn't be together much longer. That summer was the best on record. More soon to come :) details on college and his mission and what has changed to come! Stay tuned ;)

Just what the doctor ordered

Being done with my first semester of college, and being able to be at home. I've never loved being at home so much. I absolutely love my family. They are absolutely incredible. Just sitting and talking with them and laughing with them is the best.

I feel so unstressed. I haven't felt this way in who knows how long. Definitely happy with the almost month long break. Working is occupying my time, but I am enjoying it. Earning money, especially when college is so expensive is definitely nice. I get to listen to Christmas music all day and help people. Definitely better than worrying about school :)

I also cannot wait for Christmas. I get to talk to Isaac, hopefully. I haven't seen him in almost one year! Insanity. Almost to the year mark. Wooooohooo! I love him :)

Life is good. Life is beautiful.

Beautiful Heartbreak.

I've already posted this incredible song by Hilary Weeks, but I still just love it. It's called beautiful heartbreak, and it is the best.

"I had it all mapped out in front of me. Knew just where I wanted to go. But life decided to change my plans, and I found a mountain in the middle of my road. I knew there was no way to move it, so I searched for a way around. Broken hearted, I started to climb it. And at the top I found, every fear every doubt, all the pain I went through was the price that I payed to see this view. And now that I'm here, I would never trade. The grace that I feel, and the faith that I find. Through the bittersweet tears, and the sleepless nights. I used to pray, He'd take it all away. But instead, it became a beautiful heartbreak.
I never dreamed my heart would make it. I thought about turning around, but heaven has shown me miracles, I never would have seen from the ground. Now I take the rain with the sunshine, cause there's one thing that I know. He picks up the pieces, along each broken road."

Sometimes the Lord puts things in our path that we may not understand. Things happen that we might question, and that we hadn't planned on. This is the story of my life lately. I had a plan. I knew exactly what was going to happen, and when it was going to happen. I now have no idea what will happen in the future. It is once again a mystery. My Heavenly Father is keeping me guessing. I may not know the outcome of my future, but whatever it is, I'm sure it will make me eternally happy. My plan still may work out, but I've learned that you cannot plan things that you don't have complete control over. Sometimes the Lord knows better, and has other things in mind for you. Prayer, scripture reading, and patriarchal blessing reading are the ultimate solutions. Someday I will know what my Heavenly Father wants me to do. But until then, it's finals week! Woohoo!

Life. Why must you plague me with decisions?

Words cannot explain anything. So music will. Songs that I just love. A bunch of random songs, mostly. Some that don't even relate.

Sorry for the video overload :)

Faith and Works

My Heavenly Father loves me. Lately school has not been going well. I've been struggling, a lot. I have been so stressed out the past month because it seemed like I was sinking lower and lower. It seemed like nothing could help. But, I prayed. A few million times a day, every day. I asked for a father's blessing. I came to the conclusion that I needed to just have faith. That I needed to do all that I could, and that if I had faith, my Heavenly Father would do the rest. I have been given opportunities that most other people wouldn't be blessed with. All because I have the faith, and I did my part. I probably can't count on one hand how many times I've learned this in my life, and I have finally had to apply it.

When you cannot hold on any longer, just have faith and keep holding on. The Lord will make up the rest. He wants nothing more than for each of us to keep holding on and having faith in Him. He wants nothing more than for us to succeed and return back to Him someday.

College is hard, and it sure has taught me a lot. The Lord still has plenty in store for me. And I'm ready to grow closer to Him through all the trials that are yet ahead.

Unexpected

Sometimes, the unexpected things that happen are some of the best. We'll see where this goes.

Autobiography

Rachel informed me that my life is interesting. She told me to write an autobiography. Challenge accepted.

Occasionally...

I get sick of dating. Sometimes, it makes life miserable. I often want to become a nun, but then I am reminded how much I love men. Oh the life of a single girl. I just can never make up my mind.

Life was so much simpler at this age.
