Who Knew

I watch the Daily Bumps vlog every few days. This song is occasionally at the end of their vlog, and I always loved it. I decided to finally go and watch the music video and listen to the whole song. Holy cow. I love it. It made me cry a little bit, which I guess could be from pregnancy hormones. But. It makes me think of all of the things that Isaac and I have gone through to get to where we are, and all of the things that will happen in our future. It's very exciting and makes me emotional to think about. I absolutely love the love story that I have with my sweet husband. He's always been it. The biggest blessing to have ever come into my life. Next week marks six years since the first time he told me he loved me. I remember my heart just skipping a beat (yes as cheesy as that sounds) not knowing if I should breathe or if I was imagining it. I cannot believe it has been that long, and I am so very excited to see what the next six years bring.

First Date

Four years ago today was our first date. Wow. Can't believe it has been that long already. Seems like it was not that long ago.
Isaac had asked me to homecoming a few weeks prior, and I was really excited. Our day date was SOO much fun. I remember we rode bikes to Community Park from Hillcrest, and then played a whole bunch of fun games at the park, and ate Pizza.
For the dance and dinner part. We ate at this place downtown The Victorian? (the name escapes me) with our whole group. It was like a wedding venue place, that one of the kid's moms owned. The moms all helped make the food for us to eat. It was a great time. Then we went to the dance. I remember being so nervous and excited all at the same time. That boy definitely had a way of giving me butterflies all the time, still does really. I felt so comfortable around him, and was CONVINCED by everyone, including myself, that he was going to kiss me when he dropped me off! Nope, didn't happen. I was SUPER bummed. Who knew that I had just gone on a date with my future husband! Crazy great.

Before he picked me up. We forgot to get a picture together after he got there to get me.

5 years

Wow. Who knew that when we first met that we would eventually get married.
This time last year, this is what I had to say about it.
Here is the story of when it all began, if you'd like to go back and read.
But here we are, five years later, married.
Here's to an endless amount of years to come, or in other words, eternity.

Dreams

I was a little girl, alone in my little world, who dreamed of a little home for me.
I played pretend between the trees, and fed my house guests bark and leaves and laughed in my pretty bed of green. I had a dream, that I could fly from the highest swing, I had a dream.
Long walks in the dark, through woods grown behind the park, I asked God who I'm supposed to be. The stars smiled down at me.

Growing up is great fun. There are so many wonderful things, as well as so many hard things that come along with it. I can't even believe that I am 20 years old. It is crazy how fast time has gone. I love having Isaac along on the ride with me. He makes decisions quite a bit easier, he makes the stress a whole lot less, he makes life better.
Today as I was driving in the car, this song by Kenny Chesney came on and a part of it got me.

Don't blink. Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife.
I am marrying my high school sweetheart in 5 weeks tomorrow. I can't even believe it. I met Isaac when I was 15 years old. We started dating when I was 16. We had a two year "separation", and now that I am 20, we are getting married. That is crazy, and so wonderful. I love that he is home from his mission, and that everything is working out like I dreamed it would. Two years of waiting and dating was more than worth spending eternity with him :) Crazy to think that all of this time has passed, and that my feelings for him have only grown.
Here's to eternity, in 5 weeks that is ;)

Flashback

This song is one of N'Sync's best songs. It still is actually great. One of my friends posted an old school (90's) music video of N'Sync to facebook. So, I went through and rediscovered some of my favorites. I don't feel as if you can go wrong with some of the old stuff. Still great.

I wonder what kind of music will be out when my future children are growing up. They will probably think of the music I listened to as a kid as awful, just like I do about the music my parents listened to.

Next Month

I have been waiting almost two years to say that.

Speaking of two years. Almost exactly two years ago, I started my blog. On November 30th, 2010. I was just looking back at some of my first posts and it is interesting to see how much I have changed, and yet how much the same some of my thoughts still are. This post was my second post ever, and is very interesting for me to read. I thought I was all grown up at that point. And boy did I still have a lot to learn about life. I have grown up A LOT in the past two years, and I still have a lot of growing up to do. I still love learning, more than almost anything. And my love for learning continues to grow. Even though college is SO HARD sometimes, I love learning new things that I never would've thought about. Chemistry is always something that I enjoy learning about. This next paragraph has never been more true than it is right now. I had a knowledge of some incredible things at that point in my life, and sometimes it astonishes me what I thought about at times.

"Recently I've been pondering friends and how many I've had and who they have all been. And I realized something. People really are in your life for a reason. I look back at all the times in my life when I have been friends with certain people or even just mere acquaintances and realized that they have either taught me something super important or just helped me when something was hard for me at that point. I'm truly grateful for everyone that has come into my life. Whether for a short time or for a great amount of time. Whether it ended sourly or just.. ended. I'm grateful for the person that I am today, and owe it all to the people that I have surrounded myself with. To my wonderful family. To Isaac... To all of my very best friends, and also all those people that played a little role in my life at some point. Thank you."

Also, "It seems that life moves on, whether we are ready or not. So here I come. Not really ready, but excited to see what will come my way next." Wow. It seems as if I knew everything that was to happen over the next two years. That somehow I knew that I was going to need a knowledge of that, and that I would need to be able to read it, in my own words. Life does move on, and has so many times since I wrote that. I haven't always been ready, but occasionally I have been. Today, I am especially excited to see what will come my way next. I cannot believe that these two years are almost over. And looking back, I can't believe all that has happened. I was 17 years old when he left, almost 18. And now I am almost 20.

Next month. 5.5 weeks. 39 days.

Inspiration

I am a quotes lover. Quotes are my life, my inspiration, and my motivation. They have a way of knowing exactly how I feel about so many different things, without me having to put it into words. Without further ado, my inspiration for the remainder of school: Be prepared for the overload!!

I got most of these from this awesome site!
