When I feel like having a good cry, I watch missionary homecoming videos. Yeah, I'm a sap. That is definitely one thing that has changed about me in the past two years. I cry at the stupidest things sometimes. When anyone from my bishopric says how much he loves his wife, I cry. When I watch a movie with an incredible love story, I cry. When any man at the pulpit at church says how much he loves his wife, I cry. When I hear a song with particularly touching lyrics, I cry. When I read my scriptures, I occasionally cry. When I think about having children someday, I cry. When I think about going through the temple someday, I cry. When I think about how soon Isaac comes home, I cry. When I start to tell someone how much I love Isaac, I cry before I can even form a sentence. There is something about love, it just makes me cry. Seeing it in others, seeing it on movies, hearing it through music, seeing it in pictures, I just love love and so I cry. Happy tears.

Week of Madness
I survived the craziest week of the semester yet! Best feeling ever, for sure. I'm completely shocked how fast it went, though. It seemed like it was Monday, and then all of a sudden it is Friday. All of my tests and quizzes and important things are over. And I did fairly well on everything. All that studying definitely paid off. I am still waiting to hear back about my chemistry test that I took this morning. Other than that though, I feel like I can label this week successful. I got a lot accomplished, slept somewhat enough, and even made a few meals! I'm progressing.
Today the class lists opened for next semester, and I am very excited to start planning what it is going to look like. Although, it is going to be madness with everything that I have to take. But there is something great about planning next semester. Isaac comes home, and is going to school here. Best thing. I can't believe it is already almost here! They say two years is a long time, but really it isn't. So much has happened, but it went by a lot quicker than I thought it would. I had this mindset that it would legitimately never end, and that I would never see him again. False :) There are still a few more months, so my mind can still change about it feeling like forever! I feel like a completely different person, and I know that he also is. It is going to be great getting to know each other again, hopefully :)
There was also the first snowfall on the ground this morning. I love snow. It makes me feel like a child, and brings back so many memories of great times. I don't think I have ever been so excited for something such as this before though. I was excited to scrape the snow off of my car windows. I was excited to feel the cold chill of the air. I was SUPER excited to listen to Christmas music on my way to each class. There is something about this time of year, that is just magical. The spirit of it, is amazing. Everyone complains about all of the awful things that happen this time of year, and about how inconvenient the snow is. But if you truly want to find something positive about each season, then you will. If you want to find the positive in anything, you will. It's all about perspective! :)

Who you are
While studying for my chemistry exam, that is in nine hours :( , I was listening to Pandora with my classical music and lds hymns stations playing. This song came on, and it was just the inspiration I needed to finish my studying. This gospel is true!
Don't watch the random video. Just listen to the words ;)

Christmas CD
Two christmas's ago, Isaac made me a CD with a bunch of our songs on it, random others songs that I liked, and ones that reminded him of me. I've been listening to that CD this week, for the first time in a long time. I just laugh when I listen to some of the songs, because I remember so many of the memories that coincide with them. Some of the absolute best memories of my life have been with that boy :) Today when I was driving home from institute choir, I listened to these two songs by Chase Coy:
This song was something that he found and loved. He told me that it was because he wanted me to smile and be happy while he was gone. That he wanted me to live my life to the fullest and I couldn't do that if I wasn't happy.
This song is what we were listening to the very first time we held hands. On a bus, on the way home from a cross country meet, after my best race of the season. On September 30, 2009.
This song was something that he found and loved. He told me that it was because he wanted me to smile and be happy while he was gone. That he wanted me to live my life to the fullest and I couldn't do that if I wasn't happy.
I love him. He knew exactly what songs to put on that to remind me often of how much he cares and about being happy! For the longest time, every single time I would try and listen to some of the songs on there, the only thing I could do was cry. But lately, all I can do is smile and sing along at the top of my lungs.

80
80 seems like such a large number, but I promise it is small. When starting with 730, 80 is nothing. Nothing but a blink of the eye. This is the amount of days that Elder Wood has left as a missionary. Bittersweet moment for both of us, I'm sure.
In the next 2 and a half months:
80 days
less than 2 transfers
a few baptisms
many lessons
very few letters
a lot of growth and learning
2 Anatomy tests
3 Chemistry exams
1 Halloween
1 Daylight Savings
1 presidential election
1 Thanksgiving
2 Birthdays (Isaac's and my sister)
1 Anatomy final
1 Chemistry final
1 Christmas
1 New Years
1 dentist appointment
a lot of excitement and anxiousness

Lyrics
I know that no matter what happens, I am never truly lonely in this world. I have an incredible family, the most amazing friends ever, and a loving Father in Heaven. However, there is always a void there that one else can fill but my best friend. I ignore it for the most part, and busy myself with so many things, but it is always there. I've done a great job at pretending like it doesn't bother me, but the closer it gets to him coming home, the harder it gets to pretend.

Year two
This is what year two of college has looked like thus far.
Also, a whole lot of studying, which has lead to lots of awesome test scores, and some proud moments. I love college, and all of the many things that I am continually learning from it. Book wise, and life wise.

Meant to be
Sometimes when you are going along, living life, knowing full well what you want and where you are going, there are road blocks thrown in the way. Things that seem to be as equally great as what we wanted. Usually for me, it turns out that the original desire is always the lasting outcome. I think that God occasionally gives us different options, so that we can know that there is more than one way to be happy. There are more outcomes than just one. On our own, sometimes we create an alternate plan as well, one that we think will make us more happy than the first would've. For some people, it does. For me, it never quite works out that way. If something is meant to be, then it will always find a way to be.

Sometimes
Not wanting to get out of the car after you've arrived at your destination, because there are a few amazing songs in a row. So you just sit there, listening to these songs that explain everything you are feeling right then. People pass by and look at you like you are crazy, but aren't we all?

| I cannot wait until Isaac uses this saying to get me to smile again.. |
I love Isaac DeMar Wood. I haven't seen him in 21 months. And it gets harder each and every day of not seeing him. There for awhile I was thinking that this last part was going to be the easiest, but the closer it gets to him coming home, the more I miss him. Especially the past week. When everything seems to be going wrong, the only thing that I want to ease the unhappiness and stress is one of his hugs. And one of the many things getting me through these rough times is knowing that in three short months, I get to feel his arms around me again. Can't wait for that. The thought just makes me wanna cry my eyes out. Yes, cry, tears of longing.
Lately, my brain has been a big mush pit. Full of chemistry and anatomy crap. So much so that I can't even remember to do the simple little things like eat, to grab the keys out of my room before I lock it, I can hardly remember what day of the week it is, or even what time certain things take place. Yesterday I went to pick up my friend Nat for institute choir, at 3:35, only for her to come down and tell me I was an hour early. Yeah, non existent brain this week. Hopefully it'll get better by next week. I've got a crazy amount of stuff to accomplish next week.
ps. 98 days left until Elder Wood comes home!!!!! :)
